Joao Catalao
Native of Brasilia, Brazil, Joao Catalao is presently pursuing a Doctorat in Performance at the Faculty of Music at the University of Montreal with Robert Leroux. After he completed a Bachelor's degree in Music at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, Catalao studied percussion and chamber music at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg in France. He has performed with numerous contemporary music ensembles including Ensemble "Linea" in Strasbourg with which he toured in France, and the percussion quartet "K-TZ" - finalist in the Concours International de Quatuors de Percussion in Luxembourg, 2005.
Sandra Joseph
Sandra Joseph completed a Bachelors degree in Performance at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under the guidance of Jean-Guy Plante. Since 2004, she has been a member of the brass and percussion ensemble Choeur de Métal. She is also active as a freelance percussionist with different orchestras including the the Orchestre Symphonique de Trois-Rivières and the Théâtre Lyrique de la Montérégie. Joseph is currently completing a Masters degree in Performance at McGill University in the classes of Aiyun Huang and Andrei Malashenko.
Corinne René
Corinne René actively performs as a percussionist in both the worlds of contemporary music and orchestral music. She is a member of the group Tuyo, with which she has performed numerous times in Europe, and has played with Ensemble Prima in Montreal. René also performed with l’Orchestre de la Francophonie for their tour of China in 2006. After having completed her studies in classical percussion with Marie-Josée Simard at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, René is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Performance at the University of Montreal in the classes of Robert Leroux and Louis Charbonneau. From January - May 2008, René studied with French percussionist Jean Geoffroy at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Lyon.

Julien Compagne
Born in Besançon (France), Julien Compagne studied piano and percussion at the city's conservatoire for nearly 10 years. In 2004 he decided to move to Montreal to pursue his music training. After his Bachelors degree he got a Masters degree in percussion under the direction of Robert Leroux, Julien Grégoire and Louis Charbonneau. During that time, he took part as singer-musician to Antoine et Cléopâtre, a theater play presented at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal, under the direction of Lewis Furey (2006). The play was also presented in France and Belgium. Julien Compagne played with artists such as Michel Legrand, Grégory Charles, Carol Welsman, and Aretha Franklin during the Montreal Jazz Festival. First prize winner of the University of Montreal concerto competition (Concerto for 2 pianos et percussion by Bela Bartok) and of the concours des Jeunesses Musicales de France, he is currently studying latin percussion with Paul Picard.
