Sixtrum is a professional percussion ensemble in residence at the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal. Sixtrum’s goal is to renew the genre developed during the second half of the 20th Century

Sixtrum – the name inspired by the ancient Egytian instrument the "sistrum" - offers a wide variety of activities  ranging from traditional concerts to present traditional repertoire as well as new pieces, to larger events that will see collaborations between different artists, creators and researchers from various artistic disciplines.
